Thursday, June 14, 2018 - Yery was honored to be present at The Children’s Trust 13th Annual Champions for Children Awards ceremony honoring, among others, Judge Cindy Lederman, with the David Lawrence Jr. Champion for Children Award; dear friend, Miami-Dade Public Defender Carlos J. Martinez, who received the Excellence in Public Policy Award; and Earl Maulding, Director of Theatre for Young Audiences at Actors’ Playhouse, who was honored for Excellence in Direct Service to Children and Families. The event was held yesterday at Jungle Island.
